Art was the founding director of the program in the Human Dimensions of Organizations at the University of Texas.  This program aims to bring insights from the Humanities, and the Social and Behavioral Sciences to Business and Nonprofits. He currently serves as director of the HDO Professional Institute, which brings seminars and custom programs to companies. He is also director of the IC2 Institute.

Art has extensive experience with radio and television.  His work has been featured on the Dr. Phil Show, and Game Changers on the Longhorn Network.  He serves on the advisory boards of the Dr. Phil Show and the Dr. Oz Show.   Art is also co-host of a radio show produced by NPR member station KUT called Two Guys on Your Head along with his colleague Dr. Bob Duke. Two Guys on Your Head are also available to speak at events.
